Package: pam Version: 1.0.1-5+lenny1 Severity: normal I tried backporting pam 1.0.1 to etch. I had some trouble when compiling, pam_security.c was complaining about missing symbols SECCLASS_CONTEXT CONTEXT__CONTAINS. It turns out that by additionally backporting libselinux1(-dev), these errors were resolved.
So I would ask for including (>=2.0) as a versioned build dependency to libselinux1 in the pam package. (or something similar, I am not fully familiar with the syntax - etch has libselinux1 1.32-3, lenny 2.0.65-5, squeeze/sid have some 2.0.88/2.0.89 versions) I know etch is oldstable and no longer really supported, but this quite minor change to pam package should be considered IMO. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-6-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
