Package: libc6 Version: 2.10.1-7 Severity: important Hi,
libc2.10 and 2.11 have a race in free() that causes apps that use threading a lot to crash if MALLOC_CHECK_ is set to 3. This is already reported upstream (http://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=10282) and will be fixed in 2.11.1. It would good to have this fix in debian earlier than 2.11.1, reason is simply so that such crashes can be trusted again instead of having to suspect the libc bug.
