Package: mc Version: 2:4.6.2~git20080311-4 Severity: minor When installing mc the internal editor mcedit should be made the default editor within mcedit or at least an option to do so should be offered when installing.
Another option would be to split mc and mcedit into two separate packages while offering the choice to change the default system editor while install. Earlier version (basically in etch) made mcedit the default editor within mc upon install of mc by default while leaving the EDITOR environment variable untouched. Currently the mc package installs a tool which is better to be split into its own package or to be used in the default configuration.
