I viewed the two examples with evince, gv and acroread and failed to see any issues (the spots marked in the pngs look 1:1 the same as in the PDF on my screen) - my system is not Debian, so it might still be an issue with Debian's viewers but the PDF themselves seem absolutely fine to me.
