update-alternatives runs in the postinst of aptitude 0.6.0.1-1. That package doesn't provide /usr/bin/aptitude (previous versions did), so I wonder how it was still on the system when the postinst ran? Does "dpkg -S /usr/bin/aptitude" show anything?
