Package: gnome-power-manager Version: 2.28.1-2 Severity: important --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
I tested this with close-lid event, cause same happens when I am away from laptop and its low on batter. Instead of shutdown a policy kit dialog pops up asking for password. The action is org.freedesktop.consolekit.system.stop-multiple-users ck-list-sessions shows that I am su-ed as root on terminal display-device = '/dev/pts/0' IMHO, this is bad behaviour since it require from user to remember not to leave root logged. In this case when user is not by laptop, it dies without power and data are lost or disk can be damaged. Because of that I am marking this bug as important. --- System information. --- Architecture: amd64 Kernel: Linux 2.6.31.6 Debian Release: squeeze/sid 500 unstable ftp.debian-multimedia.org 500 unstable ftp.de.debian.org 500 stable dl.google.com 1 experimental ftp.de.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ============================================-+-================ libbonobo2-0 (>= 2.15.0) | 2.24.2-1 libc6 (>= 2.7) | 2.10.1-7 libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4) | 1.8.8-2 libcanberra-gtk0 (>= 0.10) | 0.22-1 libcanberra0 (>= 0.2) | 0.22-1 libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.0.2) | 1.2.16-2 libdbus-glib-1-2 (>= 0.78) | 0.82-2 libdevkit-power-gobject1 (>= 010) | 012-2 libgconf2-4 (>= 2.27.0) | 2.28.0-1 libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.22.0) | 2.22.2-2 libgnome-keyring0 (>= 2.20.3) | 2.28.1-1 libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.18.0) | 2.18.3-1 libnotify1 (>= 0.4.5) | 0.4.5-1 libnotify1-gtk2.10 | libpanel-applet2-0 (>= 2.28.0) | 2.28.0-2 libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.18.0) | 1.26.0-1 libunique-1.0-0 (>= 1.0.0) | 1.1.6-1 libx11-6 | 2:1.2.2-1 libxext6 | 2:1.0.4-1 libxrandr2 (>= 2:1.2.99.2) | 2:1.3.0-2 gconf2 (>= 2.10.1-2) | 2.28.0-1 notification-daemon | 0.4.0-2 dbus-x11 | 1.2.16-2 consolekit | 0.4.1-2 devicekit-power (>= 008) | 012-2 Recommends (Version) | Installed ==============================-+-=========== devicekit-disks (>= 006) | 009-1 Suggests (Version) | Installed =======================-+-=========== hal | 0.5.13-4 --- Output from package bug script --- Warning: Cannot convert string "nil2" to type FontStruct /usr/bin/xterm: cannot load font -misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed--13-120-75-75-c-60-iso10646-1 Distro version: squeeze/sid Kernel version: 2.6.31.6 g-p-m version: 2.28.1 HAL version: 0.5.13 System manufacturer: missing System version: missing System product: missing AC adapter present: yes Battery present: yes Laptop panel present: yes CPU scaling present: yes Battery Information: battery.charge_level.current = 13670 (0x3566) (int) battery.charge_level.design = 56160 (0xdb60) (int) battery.charge_level.last_full = 19300 (0x4b64) (int) battery.charge_level.percentage = 70 (0x46) (int) battery.charge_level.rate = 17276 (0x437c) (int) battery.is_rechargeable = true (bool) battery.model = '42T4504' (string) battery.present = true (bool) battery.rechargeable.is_charging = false (bool) battery.rechargeable.is_discharging = true (bool) battery.remaining_time = 2848 (0xb20) (int) battery.reporting.current = 13670 (0x3566) (int) battery.reporting.design = 56160 (0xdb60) (int) battery.reporting.last_full = 19300 (0x4b64) (int) battery.reporting.rate = 17276 (0x437c) (int) battery.reporting.technology = 'Li-ion' (string) battery.reporting.unit = 'mWh' (string) battery.serial = '27642' (string) battery.technology = 'lithium-ion' (string) battery.type = 'primary' (string) battery.vendor = 'SANYO' (string) battery.voltage.current = 11487 (0x2cdf) (int) battery.voltage.design = 10800 (0x2a30) (int) battery.voltage.unit = 'mV' (string) DeviceKit data: Device: /org/freedesktop/DeviceKit/Power/devices/line_power_AC native-path: /sys/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/device:00/PNP0A08:00/device:01/PNP0C09:00/ACPI0003:00/power_supply/AC power supply: yes updated: Sun Nov 15 16:50:35 2009 (1087 seconds ago) has history: no has statistics: no line-power online: no Device: /org/freedesktop/DeviceKit/Power/devices/battery_BAT0 native-path: /sys/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/device:00/PNP0A08:00/device:01/PNP0C09:00/PNP0C0A:00/power_supply/BAT0 vendor: SANYO model: 42T4504 serial: 27642 power supply: yes updated: Sun Nov 15 17:08:18 2009 (24 seconds ago) has history: yes has statistics: yes battery present: yes rechargeable: yes state: discharging energy: 13.74 Wh energy-empty: 0 Wh energy-full: 19.3 Wh energy-full-design: 56.16 Wh energy-rate: 17.225 W voltage: 11.491 V time to empty: 47.8 minutes percentage: 71.1917% capacity: 34.3661% technology: lithium-ion History (charge): 1258301298 71.192 discharging 1258301268 71.969 discharging 1258301238 72.850 discharging History (rate): 1258301298 17.225 discharging 1258301268 17.198 discharging 1258301238 17.645 discharging Daemon: daemon-version: 012 can-suspend: yes can-hibernate yes on-battery: yes on-low-battery: no lid-is-closed: no lid-is-present: yes GNOME Power Manager Process Information: mateusz 4827 0.0 0.6 201328 13696 ?
