AFAIK, firmware-linux-free doesn't contain anything which would be needed by an initramfs. firmware-nonfree does trigger initramfs rebuilds, but only for some binary packages. Ben. -- Ben Hutchings The two most common things in the universe are hydrogen and stupidity.
