What regressions are you seeing? I have a check-g++ running right now against glibc 2.10.1-0exp2. I'll comment when this is done. Does the gcc package do something similar to glibc and fail the build of the testsuite results fail to match expected results? In such cases the debian-glibc team contacts the porters to help sort out why the testsuite had changed, thus avoiding an upload that breaks userspace.
