Package: apt-proxy
Version: 1.9.36.3+nmu1

If I interrupt "aptitude update" on a client by pressing ^C,
then it can happen that the apt-proxy cache has an invalid
Packages file. On the next run "apt-get update" returns

Get:1 http://il03 testing/main Packages [46.1kB]
99% [1 Packages bzip2 0]
bzip2: Compressed file ends unexpectedly;
perhaps it is corrupted? *Possible* reason follows.
bzip2: Inappropriate ioctl for device
Input file = (stdin), output file = (stdout)

It is possible that the compressed file(s) have become corrupted.
You can use the -tvv option to test integrity of such files.

You can use the `bzip2recover' program to attempt to recover
data from undamaged sections of corrupted files.

Err http://il03 testing/main Packages
  Sub-process /bin/bzip2 returned an error code (2)
Fetched 46.1kB in 0s (56.0kB/s)
Reading package lists... Done

AFAICS there is no other recovery than manually removing
the bad files on the apt-proxy server.

Do you think it would be possible to improve apt-proxy here?

Many thanx

Harri
