The gnome-session version in unstable will pull policykit-1-gnome. For the version currently in squeeze I don't see a good way to fix this issue. consolekit >= 0.3.1 only works with policykit-1, but I can't add a dependency on policykit-1 in consolekit, without creating a dependency loop. I also can't add a Breaks: policykit, as this would make quite a few packages uninstallable. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
