Package: wicd
Version: 1.6.2.2-2
Severity: normal

Hi,

this happens with wicd backported to lenny. I don't know whether it
can be reproduced on sid. When I disconnect a wired interface, wicd
takes the interface down. I then reconnect the interface (for example,
after it has been down for twenty seconds), and wicd doesn't seem to
immediately notice that the interface came up again. The debug log
continues to log "ifconfig eth0" every five seconds, and some three
minutes 20 seconds later, it logs "GetCurrentNetworkID: Returning -1,
current network not found", "Autoconnecting", "Starting wired
autoconnect" and everything is fine. This just takes way too long.

What's going on here?

Greetings
Marc
