Printing fails - no output under ~/PDF. /var/log/cups/cups-pdf_log contains: Wed Nov 4 09:27:08 2009 [ERROR] failed to set file mode for PDF file (non fatal) *filename.pdf* I saw this: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=301406 which suggests: --- Since you mention "paranoid" settings please make sure that you (as non-root user) can change into the directory /var/spool/cups-pdf/SPOOL.
