Whenever a document tries to use package variations, the document won't compile.It turns out that /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/variations/variations.sty fails at the following line: \input variations Creating a symlink from /usr/share/doc/texlive-doc/latex/variations/variations.tex to /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/variations/variations.tex solves the issue. I couldn't check, but file variations.tex is probably misplaced and should live under /usr/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/variations/ Thanks, Louis -- Package-specific info: If you report an error when running one of the TeX-related binaries (latex, pdftex, metafont,...), or if the bug is related to bad or wrong output, please include a MINIMAL example input file that produces the error in your report.
