Package: libboost1.40-dev Version: 1.40.0-2 Severity: important
There is a problem with some boost internal dependencies. Now Boost.MultiIndex (included in libboost1.40-dev) depends on headers from Boost.Serialization (included in libboost-serialization1.40-dev), making a little weird because you have to install libboost-serialization1.40-dev manually (no automatic dependencies) to actually use something present in libboost1.40-dev. I reported the bug upstream[1], but until it get fixed, maybe Debian can force libboost1.40-dev to depend on libboost-serialization1.40-dev. Or maybe that would add a circular dependency, in which case maybe the Boost.MultiIndex library can be moved to another package and make that new package depend on both libboost1.40-dev and libboost-serialization1.40-dev.
