Hello, After reading your latest update about this bug, I suspect there may be something wrong with the underlying name resolution on your server, rather than something wrong with lprng itself.
If you can send me your printcap and any files in /etc/lprng I can then see if I get the same problem here. You can do things like change the name and IP of the printers if you want. Without some more information I will unable to work on this bug anymore.
