Yes, it does. But you were the one who wanted me to fix previous bug. And yes, that one was more important because it made FindJNI basically unusable on most arches supported by Debian. So it is fixed. Now you want me revert back because the fix exposed another bug. > 2. It renders any package using find_package(FindJNI) impossible to > compile. That's where you are wrong. Just leave one JVM installed and it will build. In your case, remove openjdk as workaround. What is more, I have no idea where you are caching that gcj JVM from. You probably have JAVA_HOME exported in your environment, don't you? > Isn't it the definition of important bug ? important - a bug which has a major effect on the usability of a package, without rendering it completely unusable to everyone [1]. Well, a very small number of cmake users use FindJNI let alone have two JVMs installed and even smaller number of packages need JAVA_INCLUDE_PATH2. > You have decided to apply a patch to a project (think: > openssl/debian), fine, but now you should at least take > responsabilities. I cannot use cmake from any debian repos, because of > that. I had to revert to a upstream cmake 2.6.4. There is explained above what else you could have done. I still believe that my patched FindJNI (and still a bit broken) is better than stock 2.6.4. > I am NOT disregarding your work, but you need to realize that it > *actually* breaks compilation. As such I do believe this is an > important regression. I take those responsibilities. So the bug will fixed when 2.8.0 is released which will probably happen soon enough. If I need to do another 2.6.4 upload for some very important reason, I will look at fixing the patch. I'm truly sorry for your inconvenience, but that is life and nobody is perfect. 1. http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer#severities -- Modestas Vainius <modes...@vainius.eu>
