Maybe if you looked at the QA page for the package: http://packages.qa.debian.org/a/abcde.html
you would have noticed that I'm actually one of the maintainers of abcde. I didn't just mark this bug as won't fix and close it, I talked with Jesus about it first. Wontfix doesn't just mean we won't fix the bug. It means that we believe the bug is not actually a bug at all - not even a wishlist one. In this case we believe that adding this functionality would violate the Linux principle of "do one thing and do it well". The bug has been around since 2002, in that time no one else has asked for the feature. We are trying to clean up abcde and having bugs like this one hanging around just makes seeing the real work more difficult. If you want the feature then submit a patch, or preferably in this case, write a companion utility which does what you want. -- Colin Tuckley | +44(0)1223 293413 | PGP/GnuPG Key Id Debian Developer | +44(0)7799 143369 | 0x1B3045CE Banging your head against the wall uses 120 calories an hour. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
