When starting kvpnc from the KDE menu, I am asked for root's password. After entering it I receive this popup error message: --- DCOP communications error (kvpnc) There was an error setting up inter-process communications for KDE. the message returned by the system was: Could not read network connection list. /root/.DCOPserver_solace.homeunix.net__0 Please check that the "dcopserver" program is running! --- and from the following one can see that root is not running a dcopserver: solace:~# ps auwx | grep dcop mwilkins 3478 0.0 0.1 25548 2640 ?
