Package: carmetal Version: 2.8.9.dakbug-1 Severity: important
The carmetal source code in Zirkel.java includes a reference to eric.JUniqueInstance, which opens a socket on a well-known port. Second and subsequent attempts to run carmetal fail because the socket is already allocated. This prevents multiple users on a multi-user system from running carmetal simultaneously. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0.3 APT prefers stable APT policy: (700, 'stable'), (500, 'proposed-updates') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages carmetal depends on: ii openjdk-6-jre [java6-run 6b11-9.1+lenny2 OpenJDK Java runtime, using Hotspo ii sun-java6-jre [java6-run 6-12-1 Sun Java(TM) Runtime Environment ( carmetal recommends no packages. carmetal suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
