Package: gpointing-device-settings
Version: 1.3.2-1
Severity: important

There are in fact several bugs in this program:

- tapping cannot be enabled
but why is it *DISABLED* at all???
I have enabled TapButton1=1 etc in xorg.conf, but it is simply ignored

- in the list of devices in gpointing-device-settings I have two times
  my touchpad:
. one is the device as I called it in the xorg.conf file
. one is the "generic" name
Does gp-d-s complety ignore the input system of X and overrides that?
Why does it not use what it is set in xorg.conf?

Please, can we either go back to gsynaptics or fix that rather urgently,
that is a bit a PITA.

Thanks.
