I am not sure, like i said looking at dmesg, syslog shows no sign of any
sigfault

all i know when i do a df before it lists all the partitions, when I ran
these programs and it failed, I would run df afterwards it would then
show a fault, when i checked ps -ef | grep fuse, I couldn't find one for
/backups/max it had disappeared.
