Package: lirc Version: 0.8.3-5 Severity: important version 0.8.3-5 breaks for me. When I run /etc/init.d/lirc start. it just errors with "failed". Rollback to 0.8.3-3 fixed the issue for me. I'm using 0.8.3-5 versions for kernel module, it just seems to be the daemon that won't start.
kernel module is lirc_mceusb2.
