Minirok uses GStreamer directly in a rather rudimentary way, because at the time it was writing there were no bindings for Phonon available. Now that they are, I hope to port Minirok to use it, which AFAIK means any global configuration settings will apply to Minirok as well. Hopefully I can get this done for the next release, 2.2.
