strange, newhidups should take care of finding back the device
when it's reconnected. But it seems to be crashed where
it shouldn't. I've made some tests on my side (on Sid) and
everything went fine...

Thanks to test it again, and check if newhidups is still there
when you got this message (using something like "ps -C newhidups")
and to report back.

Also have a look at your log (/var/log/syslog) and check for "usb"
and "newhidups" lines. There might be interesting things out there.

Finally, look at the new permissions, after having replug'ed the
USB cord, using something like "ls -lR /proc/bus/usb"
(Note the the above is a lowercase "L", not an upercase "i")

it's not the good solution... newhidups should continue working,
and bind back the UPS when possible.
