Thank you for your bug report and patch. I solved it in Catapult SVN, but in a slightly different way: unlike openMSX itself, Catapult does not really have to know for which CPU it is building. So I removed all CPU specific Makefiles, to avoid similar build problems on other CPU types in the future.
The info from the patch did help to add support for SuperH CPUs to openMSX itself: http://openmsx.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/openmsx?view=rev&revision=10664 If you have the time, could you verify this change by building the SVN trunk version of openMSX on SuperH?
