Xmms also freezes on my machine. When I start it from a xterm,
the xmms window appears and xterm displays the two lines up to
'Message: device: default', see below. As soon as I press the xmms
play butten, it freezes. Pressing CRTL+C in the calling x terminal
terminates xmms and the 'Segmentation fault'error message appears:

  xmms http://stream.rtbf.be:8000/vivahntx7701
read_string() got invalid value "None" for Blursk.fullscreen_method
  Message: device: default

  Segmentation fault

You've probably found a bug in XMMS, please visit
http://bugs.xmms.org and fill out a bug report.

Xmms also freezes occasionly as soon as I double click a mp3 stream
entry from a playlist. I recently also had a few complete X lockups
but I couldn't verify xmms to cause them.

Using an ATI radeon 9200 graphics card, I don't think the problem
is video driver related.
I am running debian testing, xmms version 1.2.10+cvs20050209-2.
