Actually /usr/share/doc/gtkmm-2.4 does exist as a symlink to /usr/share/doc/libgtkmm-2.4-doc: $ dpkg -L libgtkmm-2.4-doc|grep "/usr/share/doc/gtkmm-2.4" /usr/share/doc/gtkmm-2.4 Please try reinstall and test again.
