Package: devicekit-power Version: 010-1 Severity: important After installing devicekit-power, the new policy files are not automatically picked up by the running /usr/lib/policykit-1/polkitd instance, so "pkaction | grep org.freedesktop.devicekit.power" will yield nothing.
We either have to fix policykit-1 to pick up no policy files (using either inotify or a dpkg file-trigger) or run something like "pkill /usr/lib/policykit-1/polkitd" in devicekit-power's postinst. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (300, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.31.1 Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages devicekit-power depends on: ii libc6 2.9-27 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libdbus-1-3 1.2.16-2 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.82-2 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdevkit-power-gobjec 010+git20091001-1 abstraction for power management - ii libglib2.0-0 2.22.1-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgudev-1.0-0 146-3 GObject-based wrapper library for ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.94-1 PolicyKit Authorization API ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.12-13 userspace USB programming library Versions of packages devicekit-power recommends: ii pm-utils 1.2.5-4 utilities and scripts for power ma devicekit-power suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
