Oops, sorry about that.  After filing this report, I noticed that
there's an aptitude::Get-Root-Command setting which can be used.  I
only found this by examining the source code, though.

The attached patch, which adds a link to this option from the
"Becoming root" section, would have allowed me to find this option
before making a fool of myself.
