Subject: gnome-mount: Kodak EasyShare MD853 displayed three times on GNOME
under System.
Package: gnome-mount
Version: 0.8-2
Severity: minor

*** Please type your report below this line ***

Dear Debian hackers,

today a the digital camera Kodak EasyShare MD853 [1] (PTP protocal for
copying the images) was connected to my system.

The user was confused because a (Nautilus) folder opened where only a
text file (*.pref – I think) was shown.

Investigating it, several folders where opened and in one were also the
picture folder where the pictures could be copied from successfully.
F-Spot also detected the pictures correctly. Opening the System (Rechner
in german) folder the camera was displayed three times.

I guess it is not a big problem, but the user was definitely confused
and did not know what to do being used to a different behavior.

I do not know if gnome-mount is the correct package to assign this bug
to and if hal or something else would be more appropriate. It would be
nice, if you could reassign this bug report accordingly.

I did not find any information on the WWW regarding this issue, although
I do not know if I used the correct words.

Please tell me if I can provide any other information. Please note that
I do not have access to the camera anymore.
