Hi,

thanks for maintaining xosview.

During Ubuntu's rebuild test, xosview failed to build with gcc-4.4.
The reason for the failure is that the string functions changed 
with gcc-4.4/new eglibc for c++.

Attached is a simple patch which fixes the problem.
