I would then argue that pngcrush should fail gracefully when any combination of arguments given to it would corrupt the image due to internal implementation details (that is, whether color counting is implemented yet). By analogy, a program shouldn't segfault if you pass it a command-line argument it doesn't support. Thanks, -- J.P.
