Hi,
I am also having problems with misdirected mime types. PDF files now
give the correct mime type and are indexed in Beagle, but open document
formats (odt, sxw, ods) are not. Neither are MS word doc files.
I'm using Beagle 0.3.9-3 and Gnome 2.26.1
shared-mime-info is installed
gvfs-info did not work until I installed gvfs-bin
gvfs-info gives this mime type for .odt files:
"application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text" for both
standard::content-type and standard::fast-content-type
xdg-mime query filetype filename.odt gives the mime type
"application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text"
beagle-extract-content filename.odt
lists the file as "MimeType: application/octet-stream" and has no filter
for it.
I get similar results with the other file types (sxw, ods, doc)
