No. Read http://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control on how o do it by your self. If you're going to file bugs in the future it is strongly recomended to use 'reportbug'. > Ok, I did the steps you suggested but with alsa from > squeeze: > > $ debuild [...] > ../configure: line 11299: CC_NOUNDEFINED: command not found [...] > ../configure: line 11970: test: too many arguments > ../configure: line 11973: test: -gt: unary operator expected > broken libtool - use libtool v1.4+; no versions [...] Your build system seems to be broken. Lenny isn't prefered to build alsa-lib from sid. If yout really want to rebuild alsa-libs you need to do it in a chroot. Check 'apt-cache show pbuilder' for example. As we don't support lenny (except security bugs) I'll close this bug hereby. There won't be a fix for version 1.0.16-2. alsa-lib builds fine as you can check the build logs at http://buildd.debian.org/pkg.cgi?pkg=alsa-lib. > checking whether the C compiler works... configure: error: cannot run > C compiled programs. > If you meant to cross compile, use `--host'. > See `config.log' for more details. Please check this file. It helps to find bugs ;-) > make[1]: *** [config.status] ?????? 1 > make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/ckult/tmp/1/alsa-lib-1.0.20/bibuild' > make: *** [build-biarch-stamp] ?????? 2 > dpkg-buildpackage: ????: debian/rules build ????????? ??? ?????? 2 > debuild: fatal error at line 1319: > dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -D -us -uc failed [...] > Sometimes it does matter, for example you cannot rebuild > xulrunner-1.9.1 from Sid several times. Yeah, but alsa-lib builds multiple times ;-) But at the moment I don't know why you want to rebuild alsa-lib? Elimar -- >what IMHO then?
