Hi, OK, time for hijacking this thread :) I just found some time for searching the net about this. I mean it couldn't be, that we are the first ones, who have problems with this...
And I really found something :) An old commit from the maemo platform (which is basically Debian based) in ohloh [1]: "use ov_open instead of vorbis_block_init in check for libvorbisidec" Since the commit is almost two years old I checked if it is still used - yes it is. You can find their configure.ac under [2]. As a result I think we need to patch gst and not this library.
