please consider the following code, which seems to be standard compilant
(ISO 14882, paragraph 11.4.5):

It compiles without errors with g++-3.3, g++-3.4 and icc, but
g++-4.[1-3] and gcc-snapshot (from sid) gives the following error
messages:
