Thanks for your prompt reply.

Since I couldn't find the logfile I went on a mission to find the place where I
got the driver before - I got it from
http://ncc-1701a.homelinux.net/~linux-sis/downloads/ but couldn't remember
which driver I was using so I just gave the first one in the list
(xorg-driver-sisimedia_0.9-1_i386.deb) a go. Downloaded and installed the
.deb-file using dpkg, let it replace the xorg.conf, restarted kdm (I'm using
kde, my wife uses gnome) and everything seems to be working fine now.
Maybe there would be a way of including this driver in debian? I know a lot of
people are experiencing problems with those cursed SiS graphic cards.
I attached the Xlog and xorg.conf if that's any help to you?

Thanks a million for your time. I hope I didn't waste too much of it...

Cheers, big up Debian and all the people that make it happen!

Sebi

PS: I'm not sure if I should have sent this email to the 546741-buglist as well
so I'm just sending it to you for now. Sorry if I'm doing it wrong, please do
correct me...
