About a year or so ago, when Lenny was testing, this was also happening, and if you dual-booted into windows AND enabled there the wireless AND hard shutted it down (as in pressing the power button more than 4 secs), then the wireless would work in linux after booting into it.
I have tried to do that again now, but this trick does not work anymore. Basically, I have no wireless anymore in Debian.
