I have this bug with samba-common 2:3.4.0-5. nmbd is running. $ nmblookup helium added interface lo ip=127.0.0.1 bcast=127.255.255.255 netmask=255.0.0.0 interpret_interface: using netmask value 24 from config file on interface lan added interface lan ip=192.168.1.1 bcast=192.168.1.255 netmask=255.255.255.0 querying helium on 127.255.255.255 Got a positive name query response from 127.0.0.1 ( 192.168.1.1 ) tdb(unnamed): tdb_open_ex: could not open file /var/run/samba/unexpected.tdb: No such file or directory tdb(unnamed): tdb_open_ex: could not open file /var/run/samba/unexpected.tdb: No such file or directory tdb(unnamed): tdb_open_ex: could not open file /var/run/samba/unexpected.tdb: No such file or directory 192.168.1.1 helium<00>
