I have tested wicd_1.6.2.2-1_all.deb but cannot say it fixes 513993 for me.
The hidden ESSID is shown twice in the list, and when using the wicd-client
menu to connect to hidden network I don't get any of the networks renamed. In
order to connect, I have to always select the second hidden essid (the
duplicate).
I suppose it's due to the function returning two networks; I had implemented a
workaround in my previously posted patch.
