Package: libblkid1
Version: 2.16-2.1
Severity: wishlist

device mapper started to use udev to create devices. This means that
this devices are now named /dev/dm-* in /proc/mounts. As df and many
similar tools uses this device names only, it gets finally unreadable.
See #542422 for further information (this is currently worked around in
the device mapper rules, but scheduled for removal).

It would be nice if libblkid would provide some sort of human readable
but unique device name. The names themself could be assigned via udev as
symlinks somewhere in /dev/disk just like label and uuid.
