This can be fixed by rebuilding Gwenview against KDE 3.4. It then makes use of the trash:/ ioslave. When KDE 3.4 is uploaded to unstable, Gwenview will also be rebuilt as part of the gcc 4.0 transition, so the problem should then be solved.
