Package: git-buildpackage Version: 0.4.56 Severity: wishlist Hi,
I am very reluctant to let git-buildpackage automatically tag a tree after a successful build. This is a leftover from my svn days (which have not really begun to end yet), and I regularly run some tests on the actually built package before I allow the tag to enter the repository. With svn-buildpackage, this is possible with --svn-tag-only which will only apply the tag to the repository, assuming that a previous build has already built the package. I'd like to have such an option for git-buildpackage as well. Maybe it would be possible to give the user more fine-grained control over what git-buildpackage does. Right now, it seems to be only possible to switch the steps marked "optional" in the manpage's description chapter off and on. I'd love to have more control.
