Is the version of halibut in Debian relevant? If you're packaging the
upstream tarball of agedu, I believe it's what upstream is running
when producing the tarball that counts.

I see you've now packaged agedu. You'll probably find that a new
upstream tarball will remove the need for your patch (I'm not sure
when upstream's halibut gets rebuilt from SVN).
