Delicious food from ten Delta restaurants, wine, beer and mini margaritas, live music by Michael Sea and Island Fever, artisan gift booths and even a humorous magician, mark this year's "2005 Taste of the Delta" held in the gardens of the Historic Ryde Hotel in Ryde, California on Sunday, July 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the door or by calling the California Delta Chambers & Visitor's Bureau at 209-367-9840 or online at www.californiadelta.org. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Enjoy a leisurely drive along the Sacramento River on Highway 160 as you step back in time to a pink Art Deco Ryde Hotel that used to have a secret rumrunner's tunnel connected to the river. Stroll through the gardens of the Ryde Hotel and enjoy the spirit of the Delta where everyone dresses informal and dances to tropical music while munching on jambalaya, ribs, Lost Isle "mini burgers" and other goodies while sampling wine from 12 of the oldest to newest Delta wineries in a wine glass with logo designed by Delta artist Marty Stanley.
