This is a problem for me also. My system with a small /var partition also has a slow internet connection. Would it be possible to have the download-install portion run like this?
1. figure out the correct order of installation 2. start downloading the packages in the order they are to be installed 3. as soon as the first is downloaded, install that package and immediately clean/autoclean as necessary to make room >From the way I see two packages in download simultaneously, I'm guessing aptitude is already multi-threaded. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
