Package: sane-utils Version: 1.0.20-6 Severity: normal I have /tmp mounted as tmpfs (backed by crypto swap) for general paranoia reasons. Installing sane-utils caused the following:
Error installing /tmp/inetdcfpnYI8 to /etc/inetd.conf: Invalid cross-device link dpkg: error processing sane-utils (--configure): subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 18 and left the package partially installed and unconfigured, from a dpkg point of view. Simple enough to fix (just copy the file it leaves in /tmp to /etc/inetd.conf and rerun dpkg), but it's a bug nevertheless. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages sane-utils depends on: ii adduser 3.110 add and remove users and groups ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.27 Debian configuration management sy ii libavahi-client3 0.6.25-1 Avahi client library ii libavahi-common3 0.6.25-1 Avahi common library ii libc6 2.9-26 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libieee1284-3 0.2.11-5 cross-platform library for paralle ii libsane 1.0.20-6 API library for scanners ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.12-13 userspace USB programming library ii update-inetd 4.32 inetd configuration file updater Versions of packages sane-utils recommends: ii avahi-daemon 0.6.25-1 Avahi mDNS/DNS-SD daemon Versions of packages sane-utils suggests: pn unpaper <none> (no description available) -- debconf information: sane-utils/saned_run: false sane-utils/saned_scanner_group: true -- Dickon Hood Due to digital rights management, my .sig is temporarily unavailable.
