The 02.09.09 squeeze installer now works on my system, but only the regular graphical install mode. Text mode still has the same bug present, and expert graphical mode hangs right after entering proxy settings. But I guess the workaround (at least for my system) would be to install using the basic graphical mode. Either that, or install Lenny and do a dist-upgrade to squeeze.
