Package: libgimp2.0-dev Version: 2.6.7-1 Severity: normal *** Please type your report below this line *** In gimp 2.6 gimptool-2.0 was reimplemented as a binary rather than the script that was used (in unix) before. It seems that one of the features lost on the transition was support for using DESTDIR from the environment, if set.
This seems to cause build issues to two GIMP plugins packages: * #518745: cbmplugs fails to build (partial reason) * #544497: gimp-resynthesizer rebuilds as an empty package as installing of the files silently fails. A somewhat similar issue: * #537019: gimp-cdraw fails to build as it used gimptool --build-strip , which no longer exists. --build seems to do the job there, though. I did not set a priority for that as I'm not sure if DESTDIR should be supported. If not: the man page should, at least, be updated accordingly. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=he_IL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=he_IL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages libgimp2.0-dev depends on: ii libgimp2.0 2.6.7-1 Libraries for the GNU Image Manipu ii libgtk2.0-dev 2.16.5-1 Development files for the GTK+ lib ii pkg-config 0.22-1 manage compile and link flags for libgimp2.0-dev recommends no packages.
