Tag: fixed This is not really a bug. The JDK is needed for some Ant tasks, in particular the common task of compiling. The Ant package does indicate a few JDK as Suggests (it was Recommends, but some distributions always install recommended packages, which can be problematic), so there are enough hints in the package to get this problem solved on your own.
